Duong Lam Ancient Village boasts a rich history spanning approximately 1,200 years, distinguished by its remarkably preserved laterite brick houses, some dating back three to four centuries. Laterite, a distinctive red clay formed from weathered basalt, is a hallmark of northern Vietnam's architecture. The village holds national significance as "the hometown of two kings," adding to its historical allure.
This full-day trip takes you from Hanoi to Son Tay province, where Duong Lam is nestled as a quintessential agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a walking tour through the village paths, visiting significant sites like Mong Phu Temple, King Ngo Quyen Temple, and King Phung Hung Temple. A highlight of the tour is enjoying a special Vietnamese lunch in an ancient house, where you can also observe or participate in the making of local specialties such as soft green-lentil cake and rice cake with brown onion, depending on the season. The tour concludes with a visit to Mia Pagoda, a 15th-century structure housing 287 statues of various sizes, before returning to Hanoi.

Highly recommend the Get-go travel agency Miss Trang was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful to our needs. Our tour was private and the price was very reasonable. We visited the instant village and the hat village. The non la village occur every four day. they use the lunar calendar something like that. We didn’t get to see how they make the hat but when we go around in the market. We’ve got to see the final touch of the Vietnamese hat and got 2 custom-made hats. Highly highly recommend the agency!
