Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
6.30 – 7.00: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or meeting point (Hanoi Opera House), get on big bus and depart for Sapa. 9.30: Follow the highway to Lao Cai city with the first comfort break. 11.00: Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa. 13.00: Arrive Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of H’mong, Dzao, Tay ethnic People. Our tour guide will inform short information to you before checking in then enjoy the set menu lunch with Vietnamese cuisine. 14.30: A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, go trekking down to the valley bottom to the waterfall – Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk up hill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. Trekking distance is about 2.5 kms and it lasts for 2 hours. 17.00: Come back to Sapa Town. Free at leisure until 19:00 Have dinner and overnight in hotel with night activities.
Day 2
7.00 – 8.00: Have breakfast at hotel, check out the room and prepare light pack for trekking. (Big luggage keep in hotel store).8.00: A short trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain after that heading to Ta Van village – home of Dzay ethnic people.Trekking distance is about 9 kms and it lasts for 3.5 hours.11.30: Our bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to get back Sapa.12.30 – 13.30: Have lunch in the hotel.13.30 – 14.45: Relax and leisure on your own, have shower in the public bathroom in the hotel if you want.
Day 3
7:30 – 8:00: Take a 3-hour scenic drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay.
Day 4
12:00–12:30: Arrive at Tuan Chau Tourist Wharf. Transfer to your Ha Long cruise by tender.
Day 5
12:30: Welcome drink on the boat and check in to your private cabin.
Day 6
13:15–14:15: Enjoy lunch on board while cruising past the limestone scenery of Ha Long Bay.
Day 7
14:45–15:00: Visit Ti Top Island, where you can swim, relax on the beach, or hike for panoramic views.
Day 8
16:30: Arrive at the Pearl Farm area. Visit the site, then enjoy swimming or kayaking in the bay.
Day 9
17:30: Back to the cruise and join cooking class to have experience in some traditional dishes. Tea time on sundeck.
Day 10
6:00: Practice Tai Chi on the Sundeck.
Day 11
7:00–7:30: Start your day with a light breakfast while the cruise continues through Ha Long Bay.
Day 12
8:30–9:30: Visit Surprise Cave, one of the best-known caves in Ha Long Bay.
Day 13
9:45: Check out and take all luggage outside of your cabin, cruise back to the Tourist Wharf through Ha Long bay.
Day 14
10:00: Have brunch and clear bills.
Day 15
11:30: Back to the Tourist Wharf.
Day 16
12:00: Departure to Ninh Binh
Day 17
16:00: Arrive in Ninh Binh after a drive of around 4 hours from Ha Long Bay. Overnight at a homestay.
Day 18
07:45- 08:00: Our car and tour guide will pick up guests in Dong Hoi and drive you to Paradise cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone). It is approximately 75 km from Dong Hoi and an 80 minute drive). You will then be taken by golf cart (1.6km) from the main gate through the jungle, to where you will then climb to the mouth of the cave; a climb that boasts spectacular views of the mountainous region around the cave. 12:30: Lunch at local restaurant in Phong Nha village. Here you will enjoy a traditional vietnamese dish. Vegetarian option available. Please contact us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Day 19
13:30: Depart for Phong Nha Cave. You will then take a 25 minute ride to the cave via traditional dragonboat. This cave is called a water cave as it exhibits an underground river. After going into the cave by boat, you will explore 300 meters into the cave on foot. Then, you will be taken back by boat. This cave is famous for its spectacular rock formations. It has been given names such as the “Lion”, the “Fairy Caves”, the “Royal Court”, and the “Buddha”. 17:00: Transfer to hotel in Hue from Phong Nha, it takes 1 – 1.5 hours. Overnight stay in Hue
