A guide will meet you at the airport to help you transfer to your hotel smoothly in downtown Yangon. On the way, you will have an opportunity to visit the Lawkachanthar Abayalarba muni Buddha image, also called the Kyauktawgyi. This impressive image is a memorable first stop. After that, you continue through Chinatown, where busy streets and local markets give you a lively introduction to Yangon. A short walk around the area will let you experience the good-nature of the people there, and see the hustle and bustle of the local fruit markets. This also gives you a chance to visit Sule Pagoda in the center of the city. In this day, an early morning start returns to the airport to fly to nearby Bagan. Once there, several sightseeing spots await you. You visit Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda with its golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple with fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations, and Gubyaukgyi Temple, known for its mural paintings of Jataka scenes. Later, the tour will visit the Myinkaba village and see a traditional process of Lacquerware on some of the area’s most famous handicrafts. Ananda temple is also going to stun you with the early-style temple using four impressive standing Buddha images in the architecture. After that, the Thabinnyu Temple is the highest temple in Bagan, with the Dhammayangyi Temple later with remarkable brickwork that has lasted beautifully. As the day ends, the tour will give magnificent views of the sunset from the upper terrace of the Shwesandaw Pagoda before spending the night in Bagan.
